Travel through the most treacherous road in the world.

A trip combining Sach Pass (14,500 ft) and the Killar-Kishtwar "Cliffhanger" road is an extreme Himalayan expedition. The route covers roughly 114 km of unpaved, narrow cliffside tracks with sheer vertical drops above the Chenab River, connecting Himachal Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir. The best season to visit is late June through early October

Day 1

ARRIVAL IN MANALI

Altitude: 2,050 m

Arrival in Manali and hotel check-in.
Welcome briefing and introduction to the expedition team.
Motorcycle allocation and detailed bike inspection.
Safety briefing covering high-altitude riding, riding formation and emergency procedures.
Evening at leisure to explore Mall Road / Old Manali.
Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 2

MANALI – TANDI – UDAIPUR

MANALI – TANDI – UDAIPUR

Distance: Approx. 125 km | Riding Time: 5–6 hrs

After breakfast, begin the expedition towards the remote Lahaul region.

Ride through the spectacular mountain landscape towards the Atal Tunnel, followed by Sissu and Keylong. Continue towards Tandi, the confluence of the Chandra and Bhaga rivers, and then proceed towards Udaipur.

UDAIPUR – PURTHI – KILLAR

Distance: Approx. 80–90 km | Riding Time: 5–6 hrs

Today we enter the spectacular and remote Pangi Valley.

The ride takes you through dramatic mountain terrain, isolated villages and deep Himalayan valleys. Continue towards Purthi and finally reach Killar, the administrative centre of Pangi Valley.

Day 4

KILLAR – SACH PASS – KILLAR

Distance: Approx. 110–130 km* | Riding Time: 7–9 hrs

An unforgettable high-altitude motorcycle adventure.

Start early from Killar and ride towards Sach Pass, one of the most challenging high-altitude passes of the Himalayas. The route features rugged terrain, steep mountain sections and spectacular snow-covered landscapes when conditions permit.

After spending time at the pass, descend and return to Killar.

Day 5

KILLAR – GULABGARH – PADDAR – KISHTWAR

Distance: Approx. 120–140 km | Riding Time: 7–9 hrs

After breakfast, leave Killar and continue towards Kishtwar.

Today is another challenging riding day through the remote Pangi–Paddar region. The route features dramatic cliffs, narrow mountain roads and spectacular views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.

Arrive in Kishtwar by evening and relax after the long ride.

Day 6

KISHTWAR – ANANTNAG – SRINAGAR

Distance: Approx. 220–250 km | Riding Time: 7–9 hrs

Today the landscape gradually changes from the rugged mountains of Kishtwar to the green Kashmir Valley.

Ride towards Anantnag and continue to Srinagar. Arrive in the city by evening and check into the hotel.

Day 7

SRINAGAR – SONAMARG – ZOJI LA – DRASS – KARGIL

An exciting transition from Kashmir to Ladakh.

After breakfast, ride towards Sonamarg and begin the climb towards Zoji La, the gateway between Kashmir and Ladakh.

Continue through Drass, one of the world's coldest inhabited regions, before reaching Kargil.

Day 8

KARGIL – MULBEKH – LAMAYURU – LEH

The final and one of the most spectacular riding days.

Ride through the barren yet breathtaking landscapes of Ladakh, crossing high mountain passes and passing through Mulbekh and Lamayuru.

Continue towards Leh and arrive in the evening.
